Manufacturing and Sage-based groups

Shop floor, quality and maintenance connected to Sage X3: orders tracked in real time, inspections recorded, and indicators production recognises.

In a plant running Sage X3, the gap is not between reality and the system: it is between when something happens and when it is keyed. Scrap seen at 10am reaches the system at 6pm, when the decision was due at 10:05.

What the application changes

Declaration happens on the shop floor

Order progress, quantities produced, scrap, machine and labour time, entered at the station on a touch screen. Sage X3 receives the declaration straight away.

Quality inspections leave a trace

Inspection sheets, measured values, photos, non-conformities and action plans. A disputed batch is reconstructed from the records, not from an operator's memory.

Maintenance no longer lives in a notebook

Preventive and corrective work, parts consumed, downtime. The real cost of a machine becomes visible.

Indicators production recognises

Yield, scrap rate, plan adherence, delays by cause. Computed from actual declarations, so they can be discussed in a meeting without anyone disputing the figures.

What we do not do

We do not replace Sage X3 and we do not touch your production configuration. We do not drive PLCs: we connect to what is declared, not to the machine.

The three most requested links to Sage X3

Shop floor tracking. Reporting progress on a work order from the floor, on a touch screen or a tablet, rather than on a sheet typed up the next day. Produced quantities, scrap and machine times reach X3 through the day, and the order reflects reality.

Quality control. Inspection plans, measurement records, non-conformities with a photo and a decision. Records are timestamped and signed: that is what an auditor asks for, and rarely what a binder can produce.

Maintenance. Equipment, preventive maintenance plans, intervention requests, parts consumed. The link with production matters as much as the maintenance itself: a machine stoppage explains a late order, provided both live in the same system.

What stays in X3, what comes on top

X3 keeps bills of materials, routings, valuation and accounting - that is where they belong, and nothing justifies moving them. What we add lives alongside and writes into X3 through its intended interfaces, never directly into its tables. An X3 version upgrade therefore does not break what we built.

The shop floor station

A fixed touch screen at the foot of the line, a rugged tablet, or a handheld scanner depending on the task. The interface is designed to be used with gloves on, in three taps, not to look like a desktop screen.
