It is the first question asked in a meeting, and the honest answer is: it depends on what you intend to replace. A tool that replaces three Excel files has nothing in common with a tool that replaces an ERP.
What really drives the price up
The number of documents to produce. A quote, an order, a delivery note, an invoice and a credit note means five layouts to design, five numbering series to maintain and five sets of rules to respect. It is often the heaviest item, and the most underestimated.
Data migration. Importing 1,200 clean items takes a day. Importing 1,200 items typed by hand over eight years, with duplicates and three spellings per supplier, takes five.
Connections. Wiring into Sage, a carrier or WhatsApp adds work every time: the development, but also the error cases, the recovery after an outage and the monitoring.
What costs less than people think
The number of users. With us it changes nothing: adding a storekeeper or a sales rep does not cost another licence. That is a notable difference from classic ERPs, where the bill climbs with every seat.
How to read a quote
Always ask three things: what is included in the data migration, what happens after go-live (the first weeks always reveal unforeseen cases), and who owns the database if you leave. A supplier who answers those three plainly is more reliable than a cheaper one.
How we price
We give no figure before the scoping workshop, which is free and takes half a day. We follow one order end to end inside your company, then hand over a written scope and a firm amount. You are free to stop there.
